About Colleague AI
Colleague AI is the only comprehensive AI platform for K–12 education—supporting instruction, learning, school operations, and administration—backed by $18M+ in federal research grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Education (DOE), and Institute of Education Sciences (IES). We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Marketing Director to lead the planning and execution of high-impact marketing initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, support growth, and deepen engagement across the education community.

Position Overview
The Marketing Director will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across conferences, digital channels, campaigns, communications, and events. This role is ideal for a strong planner and executor who can move seamlessly from strategy to implementation, manage multiple initiatives at once, and drive high-quality marketing outcomes from concept to completion.

This person will be responsible for both planning and executing marketing efforts that expand awareness, generate demand, and support partnerships and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Exhibits and Related Campaigns

  •   Plan and manage Colleague AI’s conference marketing strategy, including exhibitor presence, sponsorships, booth experience, and on-site brand activation
  •   Lead corresponding pre-event, during-event, and post-event marketing campaigns to maximize visibility, attendance, lead generation, and follow-up engagement
  •   Coordinate cross-functional efforts for conference messaging, promotional materials, logistics, and campaign execution
  •   Track performance and outcomes from conference participation to inform future strategy

Digital Marketing Strategy

  •   Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that support brand growth, lead generation, and audience engagement
  •   Oversee digital channels including email marketing, website campaigns, paid advertising, social media, and content promotion
  •   Identify target audiences and create strategies that align messaging, timing, and channel selection with business goals
  •   Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on data, insights, and market response

Marketing Campaigns and Communications

  •   Lead integrated marketing campaigns from planning through execution across multiple channels
  •   Develop clear, compelling communications that reflect the company’s voice and resonate with educators, school leaders, and partners
  •   Collaborate with internal teams to produce campaign assets, launch materials, announcements, and promotional content
  •   Ensure strong consistency in branding, positioning, and messaging across all marketing efforts

Event Planning and Execution

  •   Own the planning and execution of marketing events and other audience-facing engagements
  •   Manage timelines, vendors, logistics, communications, and event promotion to ensure smooth delivery and strong audience experience
  •   Support both virtual and in-person events from concept development through post-event reporting
  •   Create event strategies that align with larger campaign and business objectives

Required Qualifications

  •   Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  •   5+ years of experience in marketing, with strong experience in strategic planning and hands-on execution
  •   3+ years of experience in education, edtech, or AI-related industries
  •   Proven experience managing conference exhibits, campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and events
  •   Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple priorities at once
  •   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •   Strong understanding of campaign development, audience engagement, and brand marketing
  •   Experience using marketing tools, CRM platforms, email marketing systems, and analytics dashboards
  •   Ability to work collaboratively across teams while independently driving projects forward

What We’re Looking For

  •   A builder who can turn ideas into action
  •   A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable executing day-to-day marketing work
  •   A highly organized professional who can manage details without losing sight of larger goals
  •   A strong communicator who can create compelling campaigns and experiences
  •   A results-oriented leader who takes ownership from planning through execution
